Course Description

This micro-credential builds on the health care providers framework of pain assessment going beyond the numerical score, to assessing a person’s pain experience. Learners will utilize the biopsychosocial-spiritual model to explore contributing factors to pain and the implications for health care providers in assessment. Opportunities to apply person-centred pain assessment skills are integrated throughout the course, culminating with a practice-focused project.
