The Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) is a world-renowned standard of achievement for IT professionals working in information systems audit, control, monitoring and security for their organizations. Provided by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), this certification validates and empowers you to advance your career in IT audit and assurance. If you are a mid-career IT professional, receiving your full CISA certification can showcase your expertise and assert your ability to apply a risk-based approach to planning, executing and reporting on audit engagements.

This course, delivered in partnership with ISACA HQ and ISACA Edmonton Chapter, prepares early and mid-career IT professionals to take the CISA certification exam. Passing the exam allows early-career professionals to claim their CISA Associate credential through ISACA (valid for 4 years).

Recommended Experience

We recommend that individuals registering for this course have a minimum of 2 years experience working in information systems audit, control, monitoring or security.

*Those with 5 years of IS audit, control, assurance or security work experience can claim their full CISA certification by applying for certification within the 5-year window after passing the exam. All experience must be within 10 years of the application. When you apply for certification, a General Work Experience Waiver of up to 1 year and Education Experience Waiver of up to 3 years is available upon fulfilling certain conditions. Qualifying education can be used in place of up to 2 years of experience. See ISACA Support Requirements for more details.
