This course provides a comprehensive foundation in occupational hazard and risk management, with emphasis on interdisciplinary roles, systematic hazard identification, and evidence-informed control strategies. Learners examine the professional scope and collaborative functions of occupational health nurses, physicians, hygienists, and other team members in managing workplace health risks. The course covers a broad range of occupational hazards, including chemical, biological, physical, ergonomic, psychosocial, and environmental exposures, with focused study on radiation, pressure extremes, infection control, stress, fatigue, and workplace violence. Practical methods such as workplace surveys, job demand analysis, exposure monitoring, and risk assessment tools are applied to real-world scenarios.
