Course Description

This micro-credential equips allied health professionals in Alberta’s rural and remote communities with the foundational competencies needed to deliver ethical, person-centred palliative and end-of-life care. Grounded in the Alberta Palliative Care Framework, it emphasizes the use of standardized assessment tools to support clinical reasoning, communication and defensible decision-making in resource-limited settings. Through progressive, case-based learning, participants apply core concepts to increasingly complex scenarios, strengthening their ability to provide compassionate, culturally safe care and collaborate effectively within interprofessional teams.
